About SHINE

SHINE is the acronym for the globally renowned Self-Help International Network Enterprise,
A Purpose Driven Social Enterprise of the new millennium, and is the brainchild of Dr. Ramesh Nambiar, Hon. PhD.

Having travelled far and wide, Dr Nambiar has seen the huge disparities in wealth distribution around the world.  He has witnessed millions of people, both elderly and young children, who have been either abandoned in homes, or many yet homeless, with so many of them having left as orphans, and living in indescribable unhealthy environments thriving in poverty.  Hence, he founded SHINE in 1999, with the intention of eradicating poverty and disparity among human kind, in mind, body and soul.
