Our organization was founded as the College Alumnae Club, March 11, 1910 by Mary Church Terrell and three other college women. The College Alumnae Club over the years evolved to become the National Association of University. Its purpose was to stimulate young women to attain professional excellence and to exert influence in various movements for the civic good.
Our Mission today is to serve women, youth and the disadvantaged in our communities and in developing countries.
