Sarah LaFave possesses that rare combination of outstanding leadership ability coupled with love of people and a desire to help others. She is able to energize a group of people toward a common goal. Her focus is to aid people with cancer and other chronic illness as they perform the tasks of daily living. This focus was born of personal loss when her mother died of cancer when Sarah was 14. It is the life lessons learned from her mother and the example that her mother, Lori, set that prompted Sarah to create “Lori’s Hands” and make it grow into an organization that has helped many needy people in the Newark, Delaware area. Additionally, “Lori’s Hands” through Sarah’s dedication has garnered local and national attention furthering the potential for more lives to be touched.
