Nadia's son, Patrick McCaffrey was the first US National Guardsmen to be killed in Iraq. Nadia then snuck into Iraq because she wanted to grieve with an Iraqi mother who had also lost a son in the war. She speaks worldwide, bringing people from both sides together to make peace - person to person. In the United States, she helps traumatized vets to rebuild their lives. She provides shelter at her own expense to help vets. She also created www.VeteransVillage.org and The Patrick McCaffrey Foundation. She is one of the most giving women on the planet.
