Kathleen

Kathleen Collins makes the world a better place with her tireless work at her workplace, her community, and the State of California on behalf of women's causes. Kathleen works more hours and accomplishes more than anyone I know. She is a lifetime Girl Scout who mentored a group of girls all the way from Brownie troop through high school, and she works with her community Girl Scout Council to support the mission of Girl Scouting and epxanding their outreach. Kathleen is President of the California State Chapter of the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW), a high-profile position. She is also a Vice-President of Service Employees International Union Local 1000, a union with approximately 95,000 members. As such, Kathleen is a full-time advocate for State of California workers, a very difficult task in the current political climate. Kathleen was on a statewide advisory committee for California Working Families. She firmly believes "California Works When Families Come First." She is on a first-name basis with local and California politicians. She meets with them on behalf of community issues and spends countless hours phone-banking and walking precincts to make the community a better place. Kathleen is known for standing up for and defending the rights of women and families.
