Over sixteen years ago, Bonnie Carroll founded www.taps.org based on a need for more military survivor support. When her own husband was killed in a military plane crash, she and the 7-8 other widows banded together, with Bonnie at the helm, to help become the nucleus of the only non-branch specific peer support group for any loved one left behind after a military casualty anywhere, anytime, of any kind. She has served selflessly all these years, on duty 24/7 armed only w a love for giving and a small staff, with some volunteers. I don't know of anyone who deserves my utmost respect more than Bonnie Carroll.
