On the historic 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day, March 8, 2011, the Women’s Information Network (WIN) is proud to honor 15 women in each U.S. state and in every one of the
176 countries participating with us. These women will be honored for outstanding service to their:
- Family
- Business
- School, Church
- Community, Women’s Organization
- Country, Government, Military Service
One of the primary purposes of International Women’s Day is to honor women past, present, and future. To fulfill that purpose WIN will recognize some “WINNING” women for their outstanding service and their desires to lighten the loads, strengthen the hearts, and improve the lives of those in their circles of influence. Additionally, we’ll thank these women for being in alignment with the mission of the WIN “to strengthen women and families worldwide.
U.S. Award Recipients will receive:
- Global recognition for her outstanding service.
- Placement of her picture and description of service on the International Women’s Day website and The Women’s Information Network website for one year.
- One (free) ticket to the Awards Ceremony (part of the IWD events).
- One (free) General Admission ticket to the IWD event of her choice.
- Special WIN-HERS seating in reserved area at the IWD event of her choice.

- International Women’s Day Outstanding Service Award Certificate.

Only two requirements for nominating someone for an IWD Outstanding Service Award:
- Nominees must have graciously performed service “above and beyond the call of duty” in one or more of the five categories listed above.
- Nominees must be women who are alive now.
