Cindy

my mother is an extraordinary woman. She works endlessly overnights, 12 hour shifts, and on her feet constantly to the point where they become pained and cracked. Yet, she still finds time to volunteer at food banks, work thrift stores that donate to charities, and house orphans for the ABRO organization during the summer months. Beyond all of this she sets everything around her three childrens, two soon to be son in laws, and one grandsons needs. She helps at bake sales and fundraisers for my brothers sports, babysits for my sister while she attends school, keeps all of us a FAMILY even though my parents are seperated, and has helped me numerous times when I was in financial binds...even if she didnt have enough for herself. I honestly dont know if she ever gets sleep but nothing is more important to her than others. I remember just the other day, when she mentioned the cut on aid that she received for gas for her home, she stated, "I'm worried about the elderly around here. If their support for gas is cut, I know they will lower the temperature to save on what they have, and will freeze in their homes. I am more worried about them and what can we do?" After that we began to brainstorm over lunch what could be done. She was more concerned over others losing funding than the fact that she would have to work harder to get the difference in money for her own home. She has never really received any recognizition through out her life other than thank you's and smiles. Thats all she ever needed but I would love to see her get something special for once. Thank You!
